NHC Lookbook is a beauty, fashion and lifestyle  publication. We are a new publication here in South Florida launch in 2018. Our editorial mix covers lifestyles, entertainment, self-help, fashion, relationships, food, and travel. Our company has grown tremendously so we've started our internship program for 2020. NHC Lookbook will now be  Distributed throughout South Florida, Atlanta and New York.

The program offers each intern a mentorship in within professional environment, and provides the interns with hands-on work experience in the areas of journalism, content creation, graphic design, photography, ad copy, advertising sales, and social media management.

We are excited to offer internships to college undergraduates who have a sincere passion for the media industry. Interns will meet in our Fort Lauderdale office for editorial team meetings, mentoring, and on-site work experience. We've designed a blended learning platform that offers the interns training by shadowing professional mentors, covering local events, and working in specific departments based on their desired area of interest.

REQUIREMENTS: For admission into the program, interns must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 academic scale. Candidates are required to be actively enrolled in a college or university undergraduate degree program. Journalism, Communication, Advertising, Fashion and Marketing majors are preferred. Travel is required and applicants must be able to travel within the US.

All applicants are required to complete our internal application and submit an essay for consideration. If accepted, the applicant must complete the registration process by submitting a letter of recommendation, recent *transcripts,*undergo a criminal background check, and pay the internship program registration fee of $25

All interns should be capable of meeting the same editorial deadlines as our staff writers and creative team. Interns must have reliable transportation, and an active mobile phone.

Interns are required to work on-site and complete 96 hours of combined training in office and in the field. This is not a remote internship.

COMPENSATION: In addition to working one on one with a mentor, there are opportunities for interns to earn while they learn. We offer a small stipend, commission on sales, and scholarships to all level one interns who successfully complete 3 months in the internship program.

Opportunities for permanent staff positions (with pay) are available to interns who complete 6 consecutive months in the level two internship program.
