"Kanaani: A Captivating Journey into Nigerian Culture and Identity"

The South Florida premiere of the film "Kanaani" coordinated by Smiley Girl Entertainment, on September 9th at the Lauderhill Arts Performance Center was a star-studded event that celebrated multiculturalism and collaboration. Directed by Tola Olatunji and produced by Jennifer Akporehe in collaboration with FilmOne, "Kanaani" tells a compelling story of love, sacrifice, and resilience while shedding light on the issue of human trafficking.


The premiere was attended by notable guests, including Congresswoman Frederica Wilson representing FL-24 and Congresswoman Sheila McCormick serving FL-20, along with the support of City Miramar Commissioner Maxwell B Chambers and the Saedintra Foundation. Interviews conducted by Tayo Ishola on the red carpet allowed the cast and crew to share their insights and personal experiences related to human trafficking, amplifying the film's message.
