South Florida's Rising Star Runway Model Jolline Richard

Updated: Jan 15, 2020

Tell me about yourself?

I’m Jolline, I’m a model, and I was born and raised in South Florida. I’ve been modeling for a year and a half and it’s been an incredible journey which has taught me a lot about myself and about taking chances. What I love about modeling the most is the experiences that I’ve faced throughout this journey whether it be traveling, meeting incredible people, learning how to network and building solid relationships. Although it’s not an easy journey, it’s been well worth the trials and tribulations and I’m excited for what the future holds.

What or whom inspired you to choose the beauty field? Chanel Iman, Cindy Bruna, and Naomi Campbell. Just to name a few! So many great models have inspired me even the models I work alongside everyday.

When did you decide to make this your career? After a lot of self doubt, encouragement from family, friends and even strangers. One year ago I decided to test the waters and see if modeling was really something I could do. I decided to take a chance and I wouldn’t change not one thing. Now I look around say “Wow”. I could really see myself doing this for a really long time.

What school did you attend?

I currently attend Florida International University.

How would you rate the quality of your work on a scale of 1 to 10?

I would say 7! There’s always room for improvement as a model and I’m not afraid to admit that. Having a career as a model, this job always keeps me on my toes. There’s never any room for contentment and I love that, I need that!

How do you believe you can improve on your work?

Networking more, building a strong team, and taking care of not just my body but my mind. All of these things play a major role when you’re on set working. The camera doesn’t lie and if you’re not focused, it shows. Always listen to your body, at the end of the day YOU come first.

What motivates you to keep going?

Looking back to where I was before modeling compared to now! It keeps me humble because it didn’t have to happen like this but it did! For that I’m forever grateful and always counting my blessings!
